Urban Skyline Studio is raising the bar on what city souvenirs can look like. It's an urban lifestyle brand turning the culture, humor, and personality of a city into everyday objects, like candles and stickers that people feel connected to.

The challenge was that Urban Skyline Studio was a brand-new shop with zero social presence. Visibility and trust are what drive traffic and sales on Etsy, and without an existing following, there was nothing signaling to potential buyers that the shop was worth their attention. With no budget for paid ads, growth had to come entirely from organic content, which meant every post needed to work harder to earn attention and build trust on its own.
Role: Art Direction & Design

The solution was environmental storytelling: short-form reels that place Urban Skyline Studio's products in recognizable NYC scenes. The format was built for retention, since strong opening hooks are what earn Instagram's algorithm's favor. But it wasn't just a growth tactic. The products are about the culture, humor, and spirit of a city, so showing them living in that city makes the content feel authentic, not like an ad.

Within three posts, the account grew from 0 to 33 followers and began driving traffic to Urban Skyline Studio's Etsy shop. Reels set in easily identifiable NYC locations consistently outperformed those in more obscure spots. Recognizable, aspirational imagery gave viewers an instant point of connection before the product was even introduced.
